Discover la France

Whatever region of France you choose, there is always a wildlife park, a zoo, an aquarium or an educational farm, where you can discover, perhaps for the first time, curious or majestic animals, whether they are domestic or from other countries. There are also nature reserves, marshes, sensitive natural areas, ornithological observatories, most of which are accessible with an experienced guide.
In all these places, the vegetation is generally superb and the routes are punctuated with picnic areas and information panels. It is also possible to get up close and personal with certain species by immersing yourself in their enclosures. Each season is marked by its share of animations of all kinds, sometimes spectacular, of educational workshops, always adapted to the age of the participants. All of this completes the visits perfectly and intelligently.

Aperitif

The aperitif (or apéritif in good French) is sacred! Just before the meal, the French get together to have a drink with friends or family. It is the most convivial moment. And each region has its favorite drink: pastis in the South, beer in the North, kir and cocktails of all kinds everywhere else. Cheers!

Baguette

Like the beret on the head, the baguette of bread under the arm symbolizes the panoply of the French. Crunchy and golden, the French baguette is an integral part of everyday life, ideal for making sandwiches. It is currently being considered for inclusion in UNESCO's Intangible Heritage of Humanity list. Everyone to the bakery!

Kiss

Here is a greeting ritual that may surprise you. When you know someone, you don't hesitate to slap them on both cheeks to greet each other. But as we don't like to do like everyone else, the number of kisses varies according to the region: 1, 2, 3 or 4. After the health crisis of 2020, the peck is gradually taking its place.

Gallic cock

The Gallic rooster is one of the emblems of France and, since antiquity, of Gaul. The Gallic rooster disappeared over time before reappearing in the 16th century as a royal symbol. Then, it became the symbol of the Republic. Represented for a time on the buttons of the Republican Guard, it is still present on church towers and sports shirts.

Human Rights

Cock-a-doodle-doo! France is the country of human rights for having signed the first Declaration of the Rights of Man and the Citizen in 1789. Inspired by the American Declaration of Independence (1776) and the spirit of the Enlightenment, it has been a reference ever since. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights is its legacy.

French Touch

An English expression for an electro trend born in France in the 1990s. The French Touch gave its letters of nobility to the French house music. Haute couture
