Rosheim has preserved some of its 13th-century inner and 14th-century outer ramparts, as well as 4 gates: the Porte de la Vierge, Porte de l'École and Porte du Lion, and the Tour de l'Horloge (clock tower) in the extension of the town hall. Witnesses to the village's history, they stand side by side with beautiful Renaissance-style half-timbered houses, whose facades are overflowing with geraniums in summer.
