ROMANIC HOUSE
This atypical Romanesque house, built in 1154, is one of the oldest traces of medieval civil architecture in Alsace
This astonishing Romanesque house, built in 1154, is one of the oldest traces of Alsatian medieval civil architecture. It was listed in 1922 and restored in 2000. It's square, built with rusticated sandstone and small openings that make it resemble a fortified tower reminiscent of a chateau. You'll be charmed by the pretty geminated bay and the astonishing face sculpted under the roof. Right next door, you'll discover a garden which, though small, is nonetheless worthy of note. Don't overlook it!
