Nestling on a hillside, Mittelbergheim is considered one of France's 100 Most Beautiful Villages. Its winding streets bear witness to a thousand years of history. Fragrant with vineyards and terroir, they are brimming with signs and old winegrowers' residences. As a sign at the entrance to the village indicates, wine has been king in Mittelbergheim since the 5th century, especially Sylvaner, the only wine to be classified as a Grand Cru in Alsace. Discover the town hall and oil mill built in the 18th century, as well as the "cour dîmière" wine press (1739). Mittelbergheim is also an ideal starting point for pleasant strolls through the vineyards.
