The village, which was first documented in 884 in a charter listing the possessions of the Hanau abbey, has one of the first neoclassical buildings in Alsace: the church of Saint-Blaise, erected in 1774, which stands proudly in this wine-growing village. Numerous paths full of information about the region's vineyards wind through the vineyards on the Scharrach and Engelberg hills, offering superb views of the Alsace plain, Strasbourg and the Vosges. A pleasant discovery to make with family or friends and in all seasons (in summer, the village is laughing; in winter, the snow dresses it nicely).
