Saverne has been an important stopover town since Roman times and has managed to preserve its history. Along the streets, beautiful Art Deco facades, half-timbered houses and Vosges sandstone monuments are offered to you. Among them, the Rohan castle and the Haut-Barr castle, nicknamed "the eye of Alsace", are the most illustrious testimonies of the local establishment of the bishops of Strasbourg.
