People come from all over the region to celebrate the cherry festival in mid-June, even though Westhoffen, surrounded by vineyards, orchards and woods, is a pretty town in any season. Highlights include the 13th-century stained-glass windows of the Saint-Martin church, the Rosenbourg castle, built in the 11th century to protect the church, the beautiful half-timbered houses, the oriel windows and doors of the 17th-century houses, the ramparts and the square tower of the Staedelglöckelturm. In the 18th century, Westhoffen was home to one of Alsace's largest Jewish communities, as evidenced by the pink sandstone synagogue in orientalist style and the Jewish cemetery.
