In 2021, Lyon's Festival of Lights is intended to be participatory and supportive, echoing the consequences of the health crisis. Thus, among the 31 artistic creations that will adorn the city, the public will discover works such as XHX, unveiled at the Saint Joseph Saint Luc hospital and 20 Watts, a creation made with and by residents of the Metropolis of Lyon as part of a professional integration program. Also not to be missed is the Lumignons du Coeur operation, for which the people of Lyon and visitors are invited to make a gesture of solidarity towards a charity. This year, it is the GAELIS association, which informs and fights against the precariousness of students, which will be the beneficiary. For the occasion, the Place des Jacobins will be transformed into a garden of light. The public will be able to buy luminous lights for €2 to support the association and throughout the event, nearly 5,000 luminous lights will be lit each evening by volunteers. Also note that the platform will allow people to buy a virtual lumignon and share it on social networks. More information on the Fête des Lumières website
