Day 1: Southern Burgundy / Beaujolais

Leaving Lyon, which will be the epicenter of our route, let's first head north towards Mâcon. At the foot of the Roche de Solutré lies Burgundy's southernmost vineyard. This is the kingdom of the Chardonnay grape, which produces superb white wines to be tasted in the cellars. From Saint-Amour, we gently descend towards Lyon, winding our way through the famous 10 crus of Beaujolais. Pass by the summit of Mont Brouilly to admire the scenery. Wine tourism, road book in hand, in the 10 Châteaux of Beaujolais. Book an overnight stay in a real wine barrel at Villié-Morgon.
Day 2: Bugey vineyards

Day 3: The Lyonnais hillsides

At Marcy-l'Etoile, branch off towards Lentilly, Sain Bel, Savigny and Fleurieux-sur-l'Arbresle. The day ends gently on the slopes of the Monts d'Or, another Coteaux du Lyonnais terroir.
Day 4: The Condrieu vineyard

Last day, grands crus. Head south on the A7, Vienne exit. Stop off at the Pavillon Vienne Condrieu Tourisme and its incredible wine library. In Condrieu, quality is exceptional. On the sun-roasted slopes of the Rhône Valley, one of the world's oldest vineyards produces prestigious crus. From Vienne, you have to cross the Rhône to admire the spectacle of one of France's most beautiful vineyards. Stop off at Ampuis. In the kingdom of Syrah, get up high to admire the scenery. Second stop, Condrieu. Here, the Viognier grape reigns supreme on vertiginous hillsides.
