Perched between 350 m and 400 m above sea level on the edge of the Castagniccia region, the commune of Cervione stretches as far as the sandy beaches of Prunete, five kilometers away. Its name is a reference to the deer(cervus corsicanus in Latin) that were once common in the area. Lose yourself in the village's labyrinthine lanes and enjoy a superb panorama on foot, all the way to Nevera Point, which rises to just over 800 metres. Cervione is also famous for its delicious hazelnuts, so don't leave without tasting them!
