Travel Guide Zuani

In this welcoming village, the remains of the Petra Ellarata castle and ancient Pisan tower-houses can still be seen. Surrounded by streams, Zuani has a fountain in each of its seven quarters. You can visit the parish church of the Annunciation, or Sainte-Marie, remodeled in the Baroque period on Romanesque foundations. It features several works listed as Monuments Historiques, including a magnificent carved door and two paintings. Further on is the former 17th-century convent of St. Francis of Zuani. You can only admire it from the outside, as it is no longer open to the public since it became private property.
