The village is the highest village on the Costa Verde. It was once the richest village of the pieve, and its beautiful houses, witnesses of its past greatness, can still be seen. The village enjoys an exceptional natural setting: its forest of yew and boxwood is immense. Royal eagles are frequently seen here. The village has set up hiking trails to discover the region, including a very original botanical trail. An archaeological site has recently been discovered on the Castellu Vechju mountain: some pottery, a large jar and carved flints have been found there, but above all stones engraved with signs, whose mystery remains to be elucidated. Further on, at an altitude of about 900 m, the cave of A Croce at u Zuccaru also contains some prehistoric remains engraved with signs.
