The architectural peculiarity of Lama is the harmonious marriage of two different styles: the old medieval quarter, composed of small houses with terraced roofs glued to each other and narrow, vaulted alleys, is the "assertive architecture" of the wealthiest olive-growing families who, in the 18th century, had large, Tuscan-inspired bourgeois houses built, particularly the Bertola house with its Tuscan belvedere. There are still many oil presses, centuries-old witnesses of human activity in this area. An original flowering has earned it the label of "4 flowers" flowered village.
