The commune is composed of 5 scattered hamlets and a coastal strip dominated by a chain of beautiful hills. These hamlets, perched on a promontory and surrounded by an exceptional chestnut grove, reveal narrow cobbled streets, staircases and vaulted passageways that give them an authentic charm. They present a typical example of local architecture, with high houses with stone walls and slate roofs. Moreover, they offer a superb view of the Tyrrhenian Sea and the Tuscan archipelago. Its church of St. John the Baptist is located at the crossroads of the roads leading to the other villages of the Tavagna, and also offers a beautiful view of the Costa Verde.
