Located at the foot of Mount San-Petrone, the village of Piedicroce-d'Orezza, capital of the canton of Orezza, was once one of the most important in Castagniccia. Its Baroque church of Saint-Pierre-et-Saint-Paul rivals its neighbor La Porta. Piedicroce also serves as a starting point for a variety of hikes, taking in villages whose character is inherited from a strong agricultural, pastoral and craft tradition. As you leave the village towards Cervione, you'll find a natural swimming pool at Piedipartino and a magnificent waterfall where you can take a dip, "La Struccia", in the heart of the forest of the village of Carcheto-Brustico.
