The municipality is spread out on a sort of natural amphitheatre descending towards the sea, between the Petrignani river in the south and the Avidanella stream in the north. It offers a multitude of landscapes, from the Piedmont to its almost two-kilometre long seafront. The picturesque hamlets of Venzolasca, Coccola, Bonaldo and Piazza, mainly made up of traditional houses with stone facades that blend perfectly with the slate roofs, form the historic heart of the municipality. The parish church of Santa Lucia, the chapel of the Virgin and the Petrignani and its water mills are all worth a visit.
