Its name, "the forgotten one", is said to be due to its strategic position, which keeps it out of sight. The fortress houses the parish church of Saint Andrew, consecrated in the 15th century in the former hospice. This baroque-style church, whose bell tower is classified as a Historic Monument, contains Italian paintings as well as a 15th century fresco which specialists agree that it is a major piece in the history of Corsican art. A former chapel, recently restored, is dedicated to the cult of Saint Rita. The spacious and lively square, decorated with a remarkable fountain and a second chapel, is the heart of the village.
