On a slope, in the middle of the greenery, the small village of Cargiaca, offers to the eyes its granite houses. There are still low houses of pastoral origin that alternate along the road with "Casone", signs of the vitality of the village before the exodus of the fifties. Towards the bottom of the village, there are still some remains of houses that seem to date back to the 15th century. At 600 m, there is a rock where, according to the legend, a castle called Castellu della Rocca stood. The church of St. Paul has a beautiful lateral bell tower. Passing through Cargiaca is a shortcut to connect the plain to Aullène, through a picturesque road
