Travel Guide Altagène

In the middle of the reliefs and just above Sainte-Lucie-de-Tallano there is a small village of about 40 inhabitants; it is reached by a very picturesque steep road, which reveals beautiful landscapes. Very recent excavations, still in progress, have begun to uncover a fortified village dating back to around 4800 B.C. At the place known as "Presa Tusia" we discover the site of a village founded in the fifth millennium B.C. by an agro-pastoral community. To be seen: an uncovered megalithic alley and a menhir. Explanatory panels on site allow a better understanding of the site.
