The commune stretches from the Rizzanese valley at Pianu di Livia to the Cagna mountain, 1,300 meters above the Ortolo valley. With its wealth of historic and prehistoric sites classified as World Heritage by Unesco, Levie is the capital of the Alta-Rocca region. From the various hamlets, a number of hiking trails lead to the Cagna mountain and prehistoric sites, amidst oak trees, scrubland and huge granite boulders. It's also a beautiful, lively village with granite houses and a square bell tower. Its history dates back to the Middle Ages, with the oldest houses dating from the 16th century.
