Two major Christian monuments can be found in this small village. The Saint-Ulrich chapel, in the center of the village, is probably the oldest sanctuary in Alsace still existing. Its astonishing central plan covered by a dome and the frescoes, uncovered in 1968, make a beautiful impression. Outside the village, the church of Dompeter, the nucleus of a hamlet that disappeared in the 18th century, is built on foundations dating from the Merovingian era. A curious capital (12th century) finishes the right side of the portal of the nave. The high altar of the choir (XIXth century) is the memorial of the 185 scouts of Alsace who died during the Second World War.
