The main port of the island, it is the landing place for ferries coming from Malta and your first contact with Gozo. The ferry terminal was rebuilt at the beginning of the 21st century through a 7-year project with a budget of 9.3 million Euros. Another project, Mgarr Port Marina, is to improve the accessibility and safety of the port as well as the removal and sorting of fishing waste. Worth 6 million euros, it should be finalized soon. For this village is also the largest fishing port on the island. On arrival, you can see Fort Chambray and the neo-Gothic church of Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes (1888).
