Mgarr is dominated by its vast church with its beautiful dome covered with an aluminum-colored coating and the village's animation is concentrated in its surroundings. Surrounded by fields and small vineyards, it is an attractive and very rural town, since the 3,600 inhabitants of this locality live mostly from agriculture. And that it is the city of strawberries, which is celebrated every year in the month of April. A stroll through the town centre will allow you to discover interesting architecture, with many houses with elaborate balconies. At 1 km from the village, you can also access a very important prehistoric site: Ta'Hagrat, the oldest in Malta.
