Travel Guide Muracciole

Tiny forest village above Vivario, Muracciole has a few houses grouped around a fortified house, not far from the Sorba forest. In addition to its parish church of the Assumption, you can visit the old chapel of Santa Maria d'arca, which is very well preserved, and see its frescoes still in good condition. The village is also a starting point for walks to the forest. The small village is distinguished by its Renaissance castle, one of the rare castles of Corsica still in good condition. This American house was commissioned by a child of the village and entrepreneur, Ange Muracciole, on his return from the Panama Canal.
