The first mention of the village dates back to 1007 under the name of Dunginisheim but its history is much older because archeological researches have brought to light Roman coins of the 3rd century, witnesses of a presence on the place, as well as sigillated ceramics which marked the history. Located between river and hills, Dinsheim-sur-Bruche is a pleasant village, well served by the road network.
