The 912-metre-high mountain dominates the small town of Paradiso and, like its sister mountains around the lake, has been equipped with a funicular railway that connects Paradiso to its summit in 15 minutes. This large rock, as if abandoned on the shore, has the particularity of falling almost vertically into Lake Lugano. At the top, a nature park with botanical routes has been set up, as well as a museum with an exhibition of fossils and minerals. Monte San Salvatore is an ideal place to explore the Ceresio region and the villages of Carona, Melide and Morcote. A breathtaking natural setting!
