Isole di Brissago are islands that fall under the administrative jurisdiction of the canton of Ticino. They are located 900 m from the village of Porto Ronco. There are two islands, the smaller of which is called Saint-Apollinaire and the larger Saint-Pancrace, which has been the only one open to the public since 1950. Like the rest of the Lake Maggiore basin, these islands enjoy an almost Mediterranean climate, making them a veritable sanctuary for subtropical and exotic plants, which can be discovered at the renowned Saint-Pancrace botanical garden. An information point guides you on site.
