This mountain village has the good taste of being car-free! In its setting of thirteen peaks culminating at more than 4,000 m altitude, including the Allalin. Swiss Glacier Mountain is a small Alpine paradise. This resort is more recent than its sister resort Zermatt. Although hotels have multiplied, the former farming village has kept its stables and chalets. The chalet-hotels therefore form a rather pretty and homogeneous whole. Coming to Saas-Fee means being in the heart of the highest Swiss mountains with guaranteed snow in winter and a mild southern climate. The Quinze-Chapelles path, which starts on a bank of the Visp, is worth a visit.
