Magliaso, located on the banks of the Magliasina River, is the starting point for the "Giro del Malcantone" hike, through beautiful forest paths and pretty mountain villages. From Magliaso, go up to Novaggio and Miglieglia. A short descent, then follow the Magliasina River to the top at Arosio. Continue climbing up to Alpe di Agra (the highest and most beautiful point), go down to Cademario and return, by a last climb across Vernate to Magliaso. About 3 hours of walking and a magnificent view of Lake Lugano! Magliaso is easily accessible by a small train from Lugano.
