Dominated by a 500 m high hill, this charming, typical village of 4,000 inhabitants on the shores of Lake Lugano is home to ancient buildings and fine religious edifices. The mountain has been declared a protected natural site by the Swiss Confederation for its botanical variety and strong geological interest. It's a great place to take a stroll along the lakeside paths and pastoral panoramas. Culture can also be shared through visits to the town's museums, such as the Chocolate Museum, the Photography Museum and the Fishing Museum. It's the ideal holiday destination for getting to grips with all that Ticino has to offer.
