The town of Trsteno, 20 km from Dubrovnik, has a centuries-old arboretum on 28 hectares of terraced land. It is one of the most beautiful parks in the country. Walking through this large garden, which inspired the English poet Lord Byron and, more recently, the producers of the Game of Thrones series, is to plunge back into the atmosphere of the Renaissance, of pre-Raphaelite English romanticism.
