Only 5 km from Dubrovnik, the smallest island of the Elaphites (2.6 km²) is covered with lush subtropical vegetation while being more inhabited than the other islands of the archipelago. It is divided into two large, distinct harbor hamlets: Donje Čelo in the north and Gornje Čelo in the south. The northern part, where the ferries from Dubrovnik arrive, offers beautiful sandy beaches. This is where you will find the only hotel, but also seasonal rentals, shops and restaurants. The southern part has a large forest park with pine, carob and olive trees, as well as wild coves, sandy and pebble beaches.
