Located 11 km from Cavtat, close to Dubrovnik airport, the village was bombed during the war (1991). Once peace had returned, the villagers made a point of rebuilding and reviving the folk arts and traditions of their region (Konavle). The ethnographic museum, church and terraces come alive on Sundays with folklore demonstrations and a craft market. A hike leaves Cavtat and climbs to Čilipi via Močići, a 2-hour walk through countryside planted with centuries-old cypress trees, Illyrian carved stones and Christian crosses. Chapels and beautiful views towards the sea too. You can return by bus.
