(The stone of the Twelve Apostles) In the north of Quimper-sur-Wingen, the menhir of Breitenstein or stone of the Twelve Apostles has since the Celtic era the border between Alsace and the Moselle. This menhir was preserved over the centuries thanks to its use of border point. Pagan stone was turned into calvary in 1787. A merchant who survived an accident brought the twelve apostles together with Mary and Marie-Madeleine to the foot of Christ in Cross.
