Hunawihr's fortified church, one of the region's most important monuments, features prominently in tourist brochures, because it's the epitome of Alsatian charm! Its keep tower dates back to the 14th century. Its massive bell tower features a clock face with a single hand. Listed as a Monument Historique since 1929, the church features frescoes depicting the legend of Saint Nicolas. Hunawihr also boasts a highly original tourist attraction: NaturOparC, a natural area dedicated to otters, storks and other local animals.
