Ponpoint is located north of the Halatte forest and is an interesting stop for hikers and mountain bikers who would like to go there. The commune is the result of the merger of five former hamlets, le Moncel, Saint-Paterne, Saint-Gervais, Saint-Pierre and le Moru. This village-street, that is to say that the constructions follow one another in a row, is becoming a real village with the development of a town center. Among the must-sees is the Royal Abbey of Moncel, located 2 kilometers to the southeast. A former Benedictine monastery from the 11th century, it was a place of pilgrimage for centuries. Today, only the ruins remain.
