Montayral was built in a strategic place located at the border of Quercy and Agenais. Here, the Lot changes, the river that used to meander through the Causse radically changes its face. It transforms itself, calms its ardour, and it shows: it flows by making large and wide meanders, a few more kilometers and the water will completely calm down, before going to join those of Garonne.
