The capital of Gascony, the city of Auch immediately attracts visitors with its large squares and steep, narrow streets steeped in history. The historic heart of the city, perched on a spur overlooking the Gers and offering beautiful views of the Pyrenees, is full of character. Medieval architecture, represented by beautiful half-timbered houses, blends harmoniously with classical buildings, especially around the imposing Sainte-Marie Cathedral.
