Between Marcillac and Conques, this village has undergone strong influences. Its origins date back to the th century where it was the seat of a Carolingian vicariate, given to Conques in the th century by Pons de Combret. The th church is a construction mixed with white and red stones in the Vallon. Notice curious!. The Pied castle, whose stubby ruins dominate the village, has no fewer than eight towers linked by a polygonal enclosure. 2 km south, the picturesque hamlet of Combret, with steep slopes, has a th century castle still inhabited.
