At the end of the 12th century, the Templars built a fortress at the foot of which the village was to settle. In 1312, the village passed into the hands of the Hospitallers of Saint John of Jerusalem. It was during the Hundred Years' War that the inhabitants erected ramparts - completed in 1445. In the 15th century, the Hospitallers were called to the defence of Rhodes. The city then acquires a certain autonomy. Nowadays, the medieval ensemble has been preserved and the walls left intact. Inside, we discover a meander of narrow streets and covered passages where houses from the 15th to the 19th century remain.
