This city of 26,500 inhabitants stretches out on the hill of Cormeilles. At its summit, an 18th century windmill stands next to a replanted vineyard. Below is the city center which has developed over the centuries thanks to its location between Paris, Pontoise, the Vexin and Normandy. Today, it is essentially a residential city with many green spaces. Note that the writer Cyrano de Bergerac, who inspired Edmond Rostand's famous hero, died in Sannois in 1655; his tombstone is in the church. The painter Maurice Utrillo stayed there at the beginning of the 20th century.
