As the former capital of the Balagne region, Corbara has inherited a number of more or less well-preserved monuments. Its 14th-century castle is largely in ruins, while the House of the Turks, a reminder of the Davia episode, is better preserved. Corbara is surrounded by numerous pretty chapels, including Notre-Dame du Lazio with its thousand-year-old marble Madonna. And a number of ancient fountains to quench the thirst of aesthetic walkers. As an excursion, climb up to Mount San-Angelo for a magnificent view of the coast and Balagne. The seaside section is remarkable, with the beaches of Bodri and Ghjunchitu and the coves of the Davia marina.
