The territory of this small village, perched on a balcony above L'Île-Rousse, slopes down to the beautiful beach of Cala d'Alivu. Singer Jacques Dutronc lives in a secluded part of the commune, surrounded by his twenty or so cats and Sylvie Duval, the woman who has shared his life for over 20 years. Michel Rocard, in accordance with his wishes, rests in the Monticello cemetery in the shade of an olive tree.
