A road through chestnut groves leads to this charming village, nestled in the hollow of the valley. Nearby is a flat rock overlooking the Foruli, a tributary of the Taravo. It's known as the Pierre du Péché (Sin Stone) because, according to Diodorus of Sicily, human sacrifices were performed here. The village church, dedicated to San-Giacomo, is of Romanesque origin and was rebuilt further on, with a spired bell tower. The village is renowned for its chestnut groves, producing the most famous of chestnut flours. Traditional livestock farming also makes it a mecca for charcuterie. On the practical side, Julie Bartoli's farm inn offers bed and breakfast.
