Bilia, a hillside village a few kilometers west of Sartène, is covered in cork oaks and thick scrubland, and boasts some fine old granite houses. A woman's head and a few banding stones (Romanesque stones from the original church) can be seen integrated into a house. The woman's head originally comes from the ruins of San Lorenzo church. You can still visit the ruins of the Bilia convent church, long reputed to be miraculous. It once housed the tomb of Father Martino della Rocca, to which those possessed by demonic spirits were taken.
