Situated between two valleys and offering a beautiful view of the Gulf of Valinco, Arbellara is a perched village with a strong character. Remnants of towers have been transformed into residences, in which there are interesting motifs and beautiful gates. In the village there is a high square tower with crenellations dominating. Called la Turra, it is an old three-storey tower house dating back to the Middle Ages. It was plundered by the Turks in 1583. At the bottom of the village, on the D268, you can admire the elegant Pisan bridge over the Rizzanese of Spina Cavallu of the 13th century. It is the first of the perched villages if you start from Propriano.
