The pretty, peaceful commune of Carsac-Aillac, with a population of around 1,500, is well worth a visit for its superb Jardins d'Eau, a peaceful setting surrounded by water and lush vegetation. Water lilies, giant water lotuses, exotic plants, waterfalls... The church of Saint-Caprais, set back in a green setting, provokes just as many feelings. This Romanesque building, dating back to the 12th century, has just been restored and is distinguished by its sobriety, serenity and beautiful stained glass windows.
