The village of Villambistia, with a population of no more than 50, also has a beautiful 17th-century church dedicated to Saint Stephen. It has a single nave with three bays and an altarpiece that once adorned the nearby convent of San Francisco de Belorado. On the other side of the river, you can see the remains of the hermitage of San Roque, a figure revered by pilgrims, which dates back to the early 19th century. A monument dedicated to the pilgrims completes the cultural heritage of Villambistia. There are no shops in this sleepy little town, so you will have to buy supplies at one of the following stops.
