It is said that in 1019, García Domingo was born in this small village of 50 inhabitants. He would later become Saint Domingo de la Calzada, an emblematic figure of the pilgrimage who carried out many actions in favor of pilgrims. This modest village, without much tourist interest, has a hostel where you can stop for a break. Its church houses the baptismal font in which Saint Dominique de la Chaussée was baptized. A local curiosity is the presence of numerous buildings covered with wood panelling, certainly dating from a time when oak forests covered the region.
