Enclosed in the Sierra de la Demanda and bordered by the river Oja, Ezcaray is worth the detour for its historic district and its privileged environment. In the warm season, it offers the possibility to cool off in the heart of a mountainous landscape. In winter, you can ski on Mount San Lorenzo: the Valdezcaray resort is located at an altitude of 1,620 m. As far as heritage is concerned, the Torremézquiz palaces or the Palacio del Angel are among the most beautiful and best preserved in La Rioja. The old Santa Bárbara tapestry, founded in 1752 and now home to the Town Hall, is also worth a visit. Market on Saturdays.
